Community Rules
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These Community Rules form part of our Terms of Service. By using Mancho, you agree to follow them.
Why these rules exist
Mancho is a marketplace that connects clients with performers, creative professionals and mentors. These rules exist to keep Mancho safe, fair and useful for everyone. They apply to everything you do on Mancho: your profile, your portfolio, your messages, the Collective chat, your cover photo, your reviews, your gigs and any other content you share.
What is not allowed
You must not post, send, upload, share or link to content that:
- Is not yours to share. Content that belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use.
- Infringes intellectual property. Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, patent or other rights, including images, videos, music or text you do not own or have permission to use.
- Is sexual, obscene or invades privacy. Nudity, pornographic, obscene or sexually explicit content, anywhere on Mancho, including profiles, cover photos, portfolio items, messages and the Collective chat. Content that invades someone's privacy, including their bodily privacy, such as intimate or morphed images of a person.
- Harms or sexualises a child. Any content that is harmful to a child, and any child sexual abuse material. This is a serious criminal offence. We remove it, keep the evidence, report it to the authorities as the law requires, and permanently close the account.
- Harasses, bullies or threatens. Repeated unwanted contact, threatening messages, personal attacks, insulting or harassing someone because of their gender, sharing someone's private information without their consent, and any conduct meant to humiliate or frighten another user.
- Promotes hatred or violence. Content that is racially or ethnically objectionable; content that promotes hatred, discrimination or violence against a person or group because of religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality; content that promotes enmity between groups; threats of physical harm; glorification of violence; and content that encourages self-harm.
- Impersonates anyone. Pretending to be someone you are not, creating a fake profile, or using another person's name, photo, voice or identity without permission, including through images, audio or video made or altered with AI or other tools.
- Deceives or misleads. Content that misleads people about who it comes from, or that you know is false or misleading; fake reviews; scams, phishing and pyramid schemes; and unwanted bulk messages (spam).
- Involves money laundering, gambling or betting. Content that relates to or encourages money laundering, gambling or betting, or that offers or advertises an online money game, an online game that harms its players, or any other online game the law does not permit.
- Threatens India or public order. Content that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries, or public order; that incites anyone to commit a serious offence or prevents the investigation of an offence; or that insults another nation.
- Contains harmful software. Viruses or any other code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the working of any computer system.
- Takes payments off Mancho. Phone numbers, UPI IDs, bank details or other payment details shared in messages or the Collective chat. Mancho provides secure ways to pay, and sharing payment details in chat is often used to take bookings off Mancho, which our Terms of Service do not allow.
- Breaks any other law. Anything else that is unlawful in India, including content that is defamatory or that breaks the Information Technology Act, 2000 or the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
How to report
If you see content that breaks these rules, you can report it. The in-app options below need you to be signed in. Anyone, signed in or not, can report any content by writing to our Grievance Officer, as in the last option:
- A message in a Collective chat: open the message's menu and choose Report message.
- A portfolio item or post: open its menu and choose Report.
- A mentor's teaching profile: use Report on the profile.
- A cover photo: open the menu at the top of the profile and choose Report.
- A collective's name: report it from the collective's badge.
- A problem with a booking or contract: use Report a problem on the booking or contract.
- Anything else, for example a message in a one-to-one chat, a profile or a review: write to our Grievance Officer at support@mancho.in and tell us where the content is.
Your report is private. We will not tell the other person who reported them.
When you report a Collective chat message, our team sees the reported message and a few messages around it, so that we understand the context. We do not read your other messages.
What we do with a report
When we receive a report, we check the content against these rules. If it breaks them:
- We remove it, or block access to it.
- We tell the person whose content was removed that it was removed because it broke our Community Rules.
- We keep a sealed copy. The original of anything we remove, such as a message, photo or video, is kept sealed, so no user can see it, for 180 days to help settle disputes and for any lawful investigation, and is then destroyed, unless the law or a court or authority requires us to keep it longer.
If the content does not break our rules, we take no action, and we do not share details with the person who reported it.
We also remove content when a court or an authorised government agency lawfully orders us to.
How quickly we act
- If you complain about content that shows you in an intimate or sexual way, exposes your private parts, or pretends to be you (including morphed or AI-altered images), we act to remove it within 2 hours of your complaint.
- If you ask us to remove other content that breaks these rules, we act on it within 36 hours. If your complaint is that content belongs to you, infringes your intellectual property or breaks some other law, we resolve it within 7 days.
How to disagree
If your content was removed and you think the decision was wrong, write to our Grievance Officer within 15 days of being told about the removal. If you write later, we will still look at it as an ordinary complaint.
Grievance Officer
- Name: Ritik Vasisth
- Email: support@mancho.in
- Address: Bawana Rd, Delhi Technological University, Shahbad Daulatpur Village, Rohini, Delhi 110042
Within 24 hours, we'll confirm we have your complaint, send you a copy of it as we recorded it, and give you a reference number to follow it up. We'll give you our decision within 7 days.
Appeal. If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer's decision, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee set up by the Government of India, within 30 days of the decision, at gac.gov.in. You can also approach a court or any other authority. Your rights under the law are not affected.
Consequences
Breaking these rules can lead to your content being removed, your access to Mancho being ended straight away, or both. What we do depends on how serious the breach is and how often it happens:
- A first, minor breach: we remove the content and give you a warning.
- Repeated breaches: we may suspend your account, which stops you using some or all of Mancho for a time.
- Serious breaches, including child sexual abuse material, threats of violence, fraud or scams: we may permanently close your account without warning.
Account restrictions follow the process in our Terms of Service, including your right to be told the reason, to receive the substance of the decision, and to appeal.
Conduct outside Mancho
These rules apply to what you do on Mancho. We generally do not police what you do elsewhere. But if we learn of conduct outside Mancho that directly threatens the safety of Mancho users, for example threats of violence against someone you met on Mancho, we may act to protect them, using the same process, based on evidence and open to appeal.
Reminders and changes
We will remind you of these rules, our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service at least once every three months. We may update these rules from time to time. If we make a material change, we will tell you, for example by a notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.
